Yes, the company is involved in essential public services, ie, sanitation, and has about 110 workers, divided into several sites: the civil court, criminal district court, prisons, libraries, etc. ...


At what point is your case for the renewal of the contract?


We got a few days ago, signed by a meeting in the prefecture, the assurance that contracts will be secured in the passage of all jobs, which was the main reason that pushed us to mobilize in recent weeks.


tell us what were the milestones of the protest made in the field?


The starting point of our initiative was an assembly of workers that we held in September. We knew that the contract would have expired in January, and we knew that there were conditions that are far from providing confirmation of all employed women. Indeed, rumors spread that the cost of providing service, the courts, for example, was excessive. So they wanted to economize on the next tender cut of course workers. For this reason, as I said before, from mid September we moved to set up a contractual dispute. The first steps have been a three-day conference, and meetings at work, September 16 we have declared a state of agitation with a march through the city, which was attended by most of the workers despite the rain. At the end of the parade there was a meeting with the deputy mayor who has given verbal assurances above, to maintain employment levels. Faced with these assurances, and their brevity, in impromptu meeting workers have declared two-day strike on 28 and 29. Among other things, in addition to the renewal of the contract there was also the issue of salaries paid in September that had not yet been done. After that the demonstrations have followed with a meeting with the common-school students who participated with us in the event of 28, which ended with a protest outside the court. Precisely because of that event we were able to open a table of negotiations in the prefecture, up to the signing of the agreement with the presence of the employer and the town of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, in which we got the total maintenance of all employment levels.


These objectives were achieved mainly thanks to the large and active participation of workers ...


Certainly the struggle of this week saw the active participation of most workers and it is clear that the results obtained so far hours are due to the compactness and the stubbornness of the workers.

Yes, we already encounter in prefecture placed the need to extend the hours of work, whereas we do only 14 hours per week while The supplementary contract Regional provides at least 18 hours, so will resume mobilization from here.
